Three—  Amazon is backing President Biden's plan to raise the corporate tax rate to pay for his infrastructure package.  CEO Jeff Bezos says they understand it requires "concessions from all sides."  Mr. Biden has proposed raising the rate from 21 to 28 percent.
 
 
Two— Five states are leading the nation with nearly half of all new coronavirus cases.  New York is on top with 197-thousand infections last week, followed by Michigan with an average of 67-hundred a day.  They're followed by Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
 
 

And number one— Gov. Gretchen Whitmer indicated Tuesday that Michigan may be able to lift most remaining COVID-19 business restrictions this summer if Michigan's vaccination rate increases. However, she also said the state may take additional action to stop the spread of the virus through school and club sports.
