—Here are 3 big things you need to know—

One — There's a new push to make plane seats wider.  A flyer advocacy group is fighting for minimum seat dimensions to be set on passenger airplanes.  The group argued in a federal appeals court that the FAA should set those measurements.

Two—     The Michigan State University Board of Trustees is split over reports President Samuel Stanley was told to resign by today or risk being fired. Board president Dianne Byrum said she is disappointed in the behavior of some of her colleagues, saying it threatens to roll back the progress MSU has made and will continue to make.

And number three— Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is calling on the Senate to codify same-sex marriage into law.  Schumer took to the Senate floor and called on lawmakers to pass the Respect For Marriage Act.  The legislation was prompted by the Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade and the federal right to an abortion.
