One — President Trump thinks there will be a truce deal soon between Israel and Hamas. Earlier Sunday, Trump issued what he called his last warning to Hamas, urging the Palestinian militant group to accept a deal with Israel to release hostages from Gaza. Trump said Sunday on Truth Social that the Israelis have accepted his terms and it’s for Hamas to do the same.
Two --- Maryland Governor Wes Moore says he's ruling out a presidential run in 2028. Moore made the comment during an appearance on NBC's Meet the Press, saying that he's excited about serving a full term. The Democratic governor has been floated as a potential contender for the White House.
And number three --- Hawaii is bracing for Hurricane Kiko as it approaches the islands as a major Category Three storm. Maui and the Big Island are still expecting strong winds, heavy rain, high surf and possible flooding starting today.

One — President Trump appeared to once again threaten sending troops to Chicago for a widespread immigration and crime crackdown similar to that seen recently in Los Angeles. On Sunday, the president told reporters at the White House that his administration is not "going to war" in Chicago, instead they’re working to clean up our cities.
Two --- Two lucky lottery winners will split the second biggest jackpot in Powerball history. Two tickets were sold in Missouri and Texas that matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing for a grand prize of nearly two-billion dollars. Powerball officials say there were also some tickets that matched five of the six numbers, and those are worth at least one-million dollars.
And number three --- Chrysler parent company Stellantis is recalling over 91-thousand Jeep Grand Cherokee hybrids in the U.S. due to a software malfunction. Some Plug-In Hybrid models from 2022 to 2026 may have an overloading of the battery pack control module microprocessor causing it to reset. The unexpected loss of propulsion can cause a car crash without prior warning.

Homan's comments come after Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents arrested hundreds of people Thursday at the electric battery plant, most of whom were South Koreans here illegally.
Two --- The trial for the man accused of attempting to assassinate President Trump starts today in Florida. Jury selection in Ryan Routh's trial at the federal courthouse in Fort Pierce is scheduled to get underway. Earlier this summer, a judge ruled Routh can defend himself, after advising him against it. Routh is accused of staking out Trump for 12 hours with a rifle on Trump's golf course in September 2024.
And number three --- A Michigan State Police helicopter crew is credited with rescuing a California woman who got lost in Pigeon River State Forest while competing in a YouTube survival challenge. Officials say she was reported missing early Saturday before being spotted by the aircraft's camera later that morning.

One — President Trump is calling on the Supreme Court to quickly hear an appeal on his tariffs, after a lower court ruled that most of them are illegal. A federal appeals court ruled last week that Trump had exceeded his authority imposing steep levies on nearly every country. According to the filings, Trump is asking the justices to hear arguments on the case in early November.
Two --- Former President Joe Biden recently had Mohs surgery, according to a Biden spokesperson. Mohs surgery is a common procedure used to treat skin cancer. Biden was recently spotted around Delaware with a bandage on his head.
And number three --- The Army is extending orders for the Washington, D.C., National Guard to remain on active duty in the nation’s capital through Nov. 30. That’s according to ABC News. President Donald Trump could still cut the mission shorter than Nov. 30, if desired, or extend the deployment past that date. That essentially leaves the deployment open-ended for now.

One — The White House says President Trump will rename the Department of Defense the Department of War. Fox News reports Trump will sign an executive order today that renames the D-O-D. Congress created the War Department in 1789, but it was renamed the Department of Defense by President Truman in 1949.
Two --- Operations at Alligator Alcatraz in Florida can resume. The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals has granted the state and federal government's request for a stay during the appellate process. It blocks a Miami federal judge's preliminary injunction to stop any new construction and detainees from being brought into the migrant detention facility in the Everglades.
And number three --- The president of Northwestern University is resigning from the post after finding himself at odds with the Trump administration. Michael issued a statement reflecting on his experience and said he has decided that now is the right time for new leadership to guide Northwestern into its next chapter. Schill is expected to remain in his role until the university finds an interim president.

Two --- The Trump administration is scrapping a Biden-era proposal requiring airlines to pay passengers for long delays, including up to 700 dollars for extended waits. The Transportation Department says the move aligns with administration priorities and is also weighing whether to roll back a rule forcing airlines to disclose service fees upfront.
And number three --- U.S. Senate candidate Mike Rogers says Detroit’s Mayor needs to call President Trump to get federal troops patrolling Motown. The Republican former congressman says Detroit is a hub for violent crime and soars above the national average for murder, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. A city of Detroit spokesman counters Rogers, saying carjackings in Detroit have fallen 90-percent from 2013.
