AND Here are 3 big things you need to know this hour—

 

Number One— Is it the free market causing inflation? Well in new polling it seems that Americans might agree with feeble Joe about what is causing high prices at the grocery store and elsewhere—and that is corporate greed—

 

Number Two— Speaking of Joe Biden’s failing mental health—the recent public failures are driving his numbers farther down than ever—and has people asking—how can they not discuss the 25^th Amendment?

 

Number Three— So, here we are looking at the big debates on Capital Hill—One of those is the argument over ignoring the 4^th Amendment of the Constitution—and the DOJ, FBI and frankly anyone else covered by the law enforcement umbrella investigating Americans without a warrant—and doing whatever they want—in the name of national security—

 

And those up front are not even pretending to care anymore about Americans having protected rights—they simply don’t care and they use all the regular buzz words about national security and safety of our citizens—that clearly based on the wide open southern border, really is not of much interest to those in Washington—and in fairness has never been in my lifetime—and that’s the way it is—

2. Markets - inflation data came in at 3.1%, which is pretty good, but the market was expecting 2.9% so we had a sell-off. DIVERGENCE DOW THEORY - S&P 500 near all time highs still while DOW "trannies" and financials are well off their best levels. NOT BULLISH. 

 

However, if housing is removed from the CPI equation the inflation rate would be in the 1% range. This is not B.S. because of the way they calculate rent. In reality, rent is flat to down but the way the equation works they are using backwards data which is still pulling inflation higher.

4. Retirees often include a travel budget as part of their retirement goal. Saturday my 8th grade boy and I are going skiing. Turns out it is cheaper to fly to Italy to go skiing than it is to go to Colorado or utah! So that's what we are doing! Everyone thought in the internet age the travel agent career would be doomed. Instead, only the strong survive. Must add value and I would not be able to take this type of trip if not for our travel agent. 

 

5. NO LAZY MONEY - money markets still at 5.25% or buy short term treasuries and avoid that brutal state tax. 

 

6. election is less than 9 months away - a collection of clowns in Washington on the left and right - juicing government spending to reckless levels. Did you know the feds hired 36k workers in january? This is out of control - interest on the debt is $80B per month

AND Here are 3 big things you need to know this hour—

 

Number One— The U-S Senate is apparently completely tone deaf—and is so completely out of touch with America—that they just shoved through $95 Billion dollars in new aid—the vast majority of which is earmarked for the corrupt regime in Ukraine—

 

Number Two— Over in the House—they are not as tone deaf—and last night they voted to impeach Alejandro Mayorkis—it’s the first cabinet member impeached since 1876—BUT it could create other problems in the future— just another warning—

 

Number Three— The warning lights are flashing and the Red Flags are flying at every turn these days—we are in a very dangerous place—in so many places that any one of them could trigger a full blown crisis—NOT the kind that they pretend we have BUT actual full blown emergencies that will place the entire country at risk—

 

In this election year the stakes could not be higher for our future—

 

The economy is our first stop of many today—because after much higher than expected inflation numbers on Tuesday— Wall Street had its worst day in a year—

Stocks on the Dow, Nasdaq and the S and P 500 were all off by almost one and a half percent—

 

This comes after we already learned that consumer debt has set an all time high with tens of billions of dollars added at the end of 2023—credit cards and car loans are leading the way for those who default—and its not getting any easier—

 

The reason the numbers fell like a stone on Wall Street is simple—investors were expecting a drop in interest rates from the Fed—in fact some were suggesting rates could be cut as many as four times this year—BUT that is pretty much off the table now—because with inflation squarely above 3 percent—it seems unlikely any more than two rate cuts are going to happen in 2024—and right now—I would not even bet on that—

 

But this is just the beginning of the warning signs we are seeing today—

 

We are just learning—that not only is the US Senate and the Biden Administration pushing for more funding to keep the deadliest War in Europe since World War II, going as long as possible— BUT late yesterday Reuters broke a story that Washington killed a deal for a ceasefire offered by contacts reaching out on behalf of Vladimir Putin—

 

It seems your countries leaders don’t actually want a peace deal—BUT instead want to shovel billions of dollars we don’t have to fund the ongoing and deadly war—

 

BUT the problem is—Americans, ordinary taxpayers like you and me don’t support such a thing—and poll after poll shows that Americans reject the idea of being involved in Ukraines war any further—
