Here are 3 big things you need to know—
One — More than 200,000 federal employees may soon be let go by the Trump Administration. The Office of Personnel Management has reportedly advised all federal agencies to terminate their probationary employees. Federal workers can be on probation for up to two years before their civil service job protections begin. The order could affect more than nine-percent of the current federal workforce.
Two ---- TikTok is back. The social media app returned to the Apple and Google app stores last night, after being removed almost a month ago in response to a national security law that went into effect. The app's return follows a letter from US Attorney General Pam Bondi informing Apple it wouldn't be fined for hosting the app.
And number three — The Michigan Senate has approved a bill to save the state's tipped wage credit along with increasing the minimum wage. The bill passed last night by a 20-to-12 vote with bipartisan support, though a majority of Democrats voted “no”. The tipped wage would stay where it is the rest of this year and rise to 50-percent of the minimum wage over six years.

Here are 3 big things you need to know—
One — A federal judge is allowing President Trump's employee buyout plan to continue. Last month, Trump offered money to millions of federal employees to entice them to quit, but multiple labor unions filed lawsuits. The Trump administration took the win and announced the close of the buyout offer to any federal workers who might still be undecided. That original closing date was February 6.
Two ---- The White House says Wednesday's inflation report shows the Biden administration left them a mess to deal with. The latest CPI report showed the annual inflation ticked up to three-percent in January. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the previous administration was not transparent in where the economy truly was. Of course, we all were told the Biden economy was perhaps the greatest in American history during the campaign. That might not have been the truth.
And number three — Apple Maps plans to follow Google's lead and rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. The change is in response to the interior secretary officially adopting the name. Google announced in late January that it would adjust and activated their change this week.

Here are 3 big things you need to know—
One — President Trump says a call with Russian President Vladimir Putin was highly productive. The President says both men agreed that the Russia-Ukraine war needs to come to an end. Trump says the two will work closely together on negotiations including visiting each other's nations at some point.
Two ---- The Trump administration is rescinding the Biden Adminisration's rules related to N-I-L revenue-sharing payments to male and female college athletes. Just before Biden left office, the Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights said schools could be in violation of Title Nine if they didn’t hand out revenue-sharing payments proportionately to men's and women's sports. Now schools can distribute money to the sports they believe have the most value.
And number three — Trinity Health Ann Arbor says an anonymous donor has given the hospital ten-million-dollars for a neurosciences institute. Construction on an expansion will begin this year and should be completed in the spring of 2026. The expansion will include new outpatient dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Here are 3 big things you need to know—
One — A federal judge says President Trump's employee buyout plan can resume. Last month, Trump offered money to federal employees who resign their post, but multiple labor unions filed lawsuits saying the administration did not have legal authority to offer such buyouts. A judge now disagrees and the Trump administration says the offer is closed. More than 75,000 employees have apparently taken the offer.
Two ---- Two Navy pilots are in stable condition after an F-18 fighter jet crashed into San Diego Bay yesterday morning. The pilots ejected safely and were rescued by the Coast Guard and taken to a nearby hospital.
And number three — Governor Gretchen Whitmer is urging Michigan lawmakers to pass a short-term extension of Michigan's current minimum wage until July 1st. At that point she hopes talks can continue. Restaurant owners, wait staff, bartenders, and others have been asking lawmakers to keep the lower wage in place. It’s set to rise to be even with minimum wage in five years.
