One — Ron DeSantis is slamming the debt ceiling deal struck over the weekend. The Florida governor and 2024 GOP presidential candidate says the U.S. is still careening toward bankruptcy. He said the deal reached by President Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to raise the debt ceiling for two years is a massive amount of spending.
Two— Russia claims drones hit Moscow residential areas for first time since Russia invaded Ukraine. The mayor of Moscow says the strikes caused damage to some buildings and forced residents to evacuate homes.
Three -- The 2023 NBA Finals matchup is now set. The Western Conference champion Denver Nuggets will take on the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat for the NBA title. Miami cruised to a 103-84 win over the Boston Celtics Monday in Game Seven of the East Finals
