Senator Rick Santorum A federal district judge dismissed Obama's
politically driven U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s civil
securities fraud case against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. U.S.
district Judge Amos L. Mazzant dismissed the case with prejudice in a
37-page ruling March 2, 2017. Now, the court-appointed prosecutors –
Brian Wice, Kent Schaffer, and Nicole DeBorde threatened to withdraw
from the case if they aren't paid $575,105.99 since taking the case. After
an appeals court held up payment of the most recent $205,000 invoice
over questions about the legality of their arrangement, the prosecutors
have begun stalling. Obama administration SEC lawyers filed the lawsuit
against the Texas attorney general Paxton just one week to the day before
the AG was to represent Texas and lead 26 states at the U.S. Supreme
Court in the executive amnesty case, the United States v. Texas.
