Eric Schertzing - Thurs. July 20, 2017

July 21, 2017

Eric Schertzing, Ingham County Treasurer & Land Bank Chair. Tax Auction is

coming up on July 25th. A one on one Financial Literacy counseling program run

by Capital Area Community Services (CACS) is producing great results for my

office. Severely delinquent property tax payers have been helped with budgeting,

credit score improvements and other support services. I am especially impressed

with the Home Equity Lines of Credit that have some individuals replace the

higher cost tax delinquency to the County. Hats off to our partner at CASE Credit

Union.
